Carlynn started at Family Service Association of Greater Elgin (FSA) in 2024 as a Crisis Specialist, working with individuals and families in crisis. Carlynn’s passion for crisis work quickly grew. In 2025, Carlynn transitioned to a Lead Crisis Specialist and spent 9 months as a lead before transitioning into the role of Manager of SASS Crisis Services. Carlynn enjoys supporting staff, fostering professional growth, and ensuring that individuals and families receive timely, compassionate crisis intervention. Carlynn is committed to creating a collaborative environment that strengthens both the team and the services provided to the community.

Carlynn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Criminal Justice from Aurora University and her Master’s degree in Social Work also from Aurora University. Carlynn knew from a young age that she wanted to give back to her community and working at FSA has given her the opportunity to do so.

Outside of work, Carlynn likes to spend time with her friends/family, watch movies with her fiancé and attend concerts and sporting events!
