Caring for the Caregiver
As a caregiver you may desperately need to step away for awhile from the many stresses you face in caring for your loved one. But so often - this is not possible.
A program of Family Service Association of Greater Elgin area, Family Support Services provides therapeutic intervention to families caring for a loved one who is experiencing difficulty in daily living activities due to mental illness.
Our Help is provided in your home or within the community.
Family-Based Approach
Using a family based approach, the staff of Family Support Services offers social, recreational, environmental, educational and behavioral interventions to assist families in identifying and correcting problem behaviors.
As a result, families are able to remain together. With our help, members are given a much needed "break" from care taking responsibilities which often require a wealth of constant strength and patience.
