Program Director, CCCS of Elgin - F/T (35 hours)

Description  

Administration: Manage the day to day operations of the CCCS program; supervise   department staff; hire/train staff as required; monitor performance data; act as an agency liaison to the National Foundation for Consumer Credit; maintain a relationship with the other CCCS agencies; monitor program compliance with council on Accreditation standards; meet with the CCCS Advisory Council Quarterly; continue to explore new products and services that would add value to the program; participate in grant writing activities.

Counseling: Provide consumer counseling face to face and via telephone; offer referral information to clients who require other services as assessed; interpret credit reports for clients; monitor and maintain client files; provide follow-up services to program clients as needed; and maintain client and other creditor relationships.

Community Education / Public Relations: Respond to all requests from the media for information; offer workshops / seminars, or other presentations to community groups, businesses, churches, hospitals, schools or other organizations that request budgeting and financial counseling and consumer credit information; develop presentation materials for educational presentations; represent the program / agency at community events / organization.

Qualifications:

Acquire and maintain consumer credit counseling certification, team player, good leadership skills, able to 'think outside the box', proven record of business success particularly in the financial arena, excellent written and oral communication skills, experience in the public or not for profit sectors. College degree or equivalent experience.
