Family Service Association of Greater Elgin Area is dedicated to providing individuals and families with client centered and family focused counseling services.

A not -for -profit agency, Family service Association has served the Greater Elgin Area since 1931.  Supported both publicly and privately, most of the funding is received from such local sources as United Ways, corporate and individual contributions and client fees.

Accreditation

    Family Service Association has been awarded a Certificate of Accreditation from the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children.  This attests that the agency has met a set of nationally established requirements which ensures quality service.  The award places Family Service Association among the unique group of providers that meet the highest standards for professional performance.

Our Staff

    Consists of highly qualified professionals with specialized training beyond a Masters Degree, our staff pursues ongoing professional growth and training in order maintain a high standard of service.

Confidentiality

    While emphasizing change in an atmosphere which promotes exploration of personal issues, Family Service encourages a professional and confidential "partnership" with all clients who seek counseling. 

Fees

    Fees are based on the individual's ability to pay.

 

Counseling over 3,000 individuals and families each year, Family Service Association's partnership with other area service providers is strong.  Referrals are made to other community agencies when additional resources are required
