Andie Anderson

Manager of School Based Mental Health

Andie has been at FSA since early 2020, during which she has been a therapist with the School Based Therapy Team. In 2025, she accepted the position of Manager of the School Based team. Andie attended Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago for her undergrad and graduate programs. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Community Health and Wellness Education, with a minor in Women’s Studies and a focus on Women’s Health. Andie then earned a Master’s degree in Couples and Family Counseling, and earned a dual license as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Marriage and Family Therapist. Andie chose the mental health field because she is passionate about being the change she wants to see in this world. She is a firm believer in “The Ripple Effect”: A ripple effect occurs when an initial disturbance to a system moves outward to disturb an increasingly larger portion of the system, like ripples expanding across the water when an object is dropped into it. FSA creates these ripples that affect clients and their families, and then into the community and beyond. In Andie’s personal life, she and her partner of 20 years are busy raising their rambunctious son and daughter and spending time with their friends. Andie has earned the nickname “MamaAndie” as she is fiercely protective of everyone in her life, and she loves to feed everyone with her cooking and baking, mothering her pets, mothering her friends, and hosting everyone at her home as often as she can.
