Fundraising Update

Family Service Association of Greater Elgin Area cannot express how grateful we are to all our gracious sponsors, donors and attendees that participated in this year’s “Chase Away the Winter Blues.” A big thank you goes out to the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin for letting us host our event in their ballroom, being one of our biggest supporters and sponsors. Our Board and staff all came together to help create an incredible selection of baskets for the raffle. It is thanks to all of these people and businesses that FSA is able to help so many children and their families.

A fundraiser can only come together with many volunteers stepping up to help make it a success. Thanks to all of our staff members who pitched in to help before, during and after the event. And thank you to all the volunteers outside of the agency. We appreciate your time and support of FSA.

For over 85 years FSA has been providing services to the greater Elgin community. FSA began as Associated Charities in 1931 and has grown into a multi-service agency serving over 3,000 clients annually. Through our annual fundraiser, “Chase Away the Winter Blues” we are able to raise funds for psychiatric services for children, adolescents and their families. Our 4th annual fundraiser brought 145 people together and over $7,000. We look forward to seeing everyone again in February 2018 for our 5th annual “Chase Away the Winter Blues.” Pictures can be seen on our webpage under the events section. Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving, 24 hours that brings nonprofits, donors, and their community together supporting a common mission; to support the spirit of giving to charitable causes.
